At Pope St. John XXIII STEM Academy, we bring together what the world too often keeps apart: faith and discovery, purpose and curiosity, conscience and innovation. Rooted in Christ and strengthened by the richness of our diverse community, we celebrate every child as God’s unique creation, inviting them to explore boldly, think critically, and solve real-world problems through hands-on STEM experiences. In this union of Catholic values and scientific inquiry, students are formed to be leaders – grounded in faith, guided by conscience, and inspired to transform the world with both wisdom and wonder.
Strategic Plan
Designing Our Future
Pope St. John XXIII STEM Academy is embarking on an exciting new chapter. We are proud to present the executive summary of our new strategic roadmap, Designing Our Future: 2025–2030, the result of survey engagement, collaborative reflection, and framed around research based best practices for highly-effective Catholic Schools. Rooted in 100 years of excellence and legacy in South Tacoma, this strategic plan readies our school for growth into the next 100 years. The final document, which will guide our path forward, was developed over a year by our dedicated planning committee representing parents, benefactors, teachers, parish leadership and other community stakeholders, together with expert guidance from the consultants and co-collaborators at Meitler, a firm renowned for its five decades of service to Catholic education nationwide.
