In the summer of 2018, I enrolled in the Mary Ann Remick Leadership Program at the University of Notre Dame. My deep desire to be a strong leader guided me to this program and I know it will impact my work at Visitation Catholic STEM Academy.
I want to honor my wife, Bridget, and my entire family, for their incredible support of me during this program. The Mary Ann Remick Leadership Program is a 25-month graduate program (delivered over three summers and two academic years) to develop skills to become a transformational leader in the Catholic school community. Upon completion of the program, participants earn a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from the University of Notre Dame. We learn to not only be educational leaders but spiritual leaders, instructional leaders, and executive leaders.
I am blessed and fortunate to have had the opportunity to grow both as a person and as a professional over the course of the past year and a half. As a result of the program, I am a more intentional educator, a better husband, a more humble man, and a more thoughtful leader with an increased knowledge about current research in education. I am grateful for this formation and am excited to share what I have learned with my community at VCSA.
